NicoDerm Stop Smoking System Step 2
Nicoderm Step 2 (14mg/day) is a medicine that can help you stop smoking by reducing withdrawal symptoms and nicotine symptoms. To increase your chances of quitting, use with a stop smoking support program as identified in the enclosed User Guide.
3 Step Program
Step 1 - If you smoke 10 or more cigarettes a day - Start with Step 1, 21mg per day patch, for 6 weeks.
Step 2 - Contrinue with Step 2, 14mg per day patch, for 2 weeks.
Step 3 - The Final Step - 7mg per day patch, for final 2 weeks.
2 Step Program
Step 2 - If you smoke less than 10 cigarettes a day - Start with Step 2, 14mg per day Patch, for 6 weeks.
Step 3 - The Final Step - 7mg per day Patch, for final 2 weeks.
Adults Dosage: Apply one patch every 24 hours to a non-hairy, clean, dry area of your front or back above the waist or the upper outer area of your arm. It is important to complete treatment. If you feel you need to use Nicoderm Patch for a longer period to keep from smoking, talk to your healthcare provider.
Warning: Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if you: are under 18 years of age; are an occasional or non-smoker; are pregnant or nursing; have generalized skin disorders (e.g. eczema, rash; are allergic to nicotine or any of the non-medicinal ingredients). Ask your doctor before use if you: have/have had heart, thyroid, circulation or stomach problems, stroke or high blood pressure; take insulin or any prescription medications. Known adverse reactions: Nicoderm patches can cause minor skin irritation, headache, light-headedness, insomnia, stomach upset and vivid dreams. These side effects may be eliminated by stepping down to a lower strength Nicoderm patch.
Each Nicoderm Step 2 (14mg/day) patch contains 78mg nicotine. Each patch releases a controlled 1/mg/hr over 24 hours with systemic delivery of 14mg/day.
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyisobutylene and high density polyethylene between clear polyester backings.
