Senokot-S Natural Senna Laxative

Indications: Gentle relief of occasional constipation and softens the stools. Promotes bowel movement, typically within 6-12 hours.

Adults and children 12 years and older: 1-2 tablets at bedtime. Maximum 8 tablets/day. 
Children (6-11 years): 1/2 to 1 tablet at bedtime. Maximum 2 tablets/day. 
Drink increased liquid (one full glass or more) with each dose.

Active ingredients: Each Senokot-S tablet contains 8.6mg standardized sennosides from natural senna and 50mg docusate sodium.
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Corn starch, D&C Yellow No. 10 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminum Lake, guar gum, lecithin, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, silicon dioxide, sodium benzoate, talc and titanium dioxide.

Precautions: As with all laxatives, do not take for more than a week without consulting your physician. Overuse or extended use may cause impairment of the bowel, dependence for bowel function, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Not to be used when abdominal pain, griping (cramps or spasms), fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and/or rectal bleeding are present. Laxatives should not be taken within 2 hours of another medicine because the desired effect of the other medicine may be reduced. Consult a physician before use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
