Vicks VapoRub Ointment
Directions: For Nasal Congestion and Coughs: For maximum relief, rub ointment on 3 places: chest, throat and back. If desired, cover with a warm cloth, but keep clothing loose. For muscular Soreness and Tightness: Apply to affected area. If desired, cover with warm cloth. For childre under 2 years, consult a physician. Repeat up to 3-4 times daily, especially at bedtime, or as directed by a physician.
Do not heat. Never expose VapoRub to flame, microwave or place in any container in which you are heating water. Such improper use may cause the mixture to splatter and result in burns.
Keep safely out of reach of children. Use only as directed. Contact the Poison Control Center immediately if accidentally ingested.
Caution: For external use only. Do not place in nostrils. Not to be taken orally. If cough persists for more than a week, or tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, consult a physician. If you have chronic lung disease or shortness of breath, do not use this product, unless directed by a physician. If a rash or excess irritation occurs, discontinue use. Do not apply external heat such as an electric heating page as it may result in excessive skin irritation or skin burn. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not bandage and do not apply to wounds or damaged skin. To avoid possibility of fire, never place VapoRub in boiling water or expose to an open flame. If pregnant or nursing, ask a health professional before use.
Medicinal Ingredients: Camphor 4.73% w/w, Menthol 2.6% w/w, Eucalyptus Oil 1.2% w/w.
Non-Medicinal Ingredients: Cedarleaf oil, myristica oil, special petrolatum, thymol, turpentine oil.
