Privacy Policy

McGrath Pharmacies Inc. (MP) respects the privacy rights of our patients and customers and is committed to protecting the personal information we collect from you. This policy describes the personal information we collect, how we use that information when we might have to disclose it, how we keep it safe and how you can access and correct it if necessary.

Scope

This policy applies to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in the course of all commercial dealings with MP, including pharmacy and retail services and applies to the use of any website or mobile application maintained by MP.

What is personal information?

Personal information is information about an identifiable person, such as their name, date of birth and e-mail address. Personal information also includes personal health information, such as your medical records and other information about your health and your prescriptions, that has been collected or generated by your pharmacist.

Consent

When you use MP services, you agree that MP may collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with this policy.

MP will collect, use and disclose personal information without your consent only in very limited circumstances as permitted by law such as disclosing it to a person who needs the information because an emergency threatens your life.

If you decide to withdraw your consent to allow MP to collect your personal information, we will still have to comply with all the provincial laws that require us to keep records relating to the medication that we dispensed to you. If you choose to not give us consent to disclose certain personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the full range of pharmacy services.

Cookies. MP also collects information about your use of the website and mobile application through cookies and similar technology. A "cookie" is a unique numeric code that we transfer to your computer so that we can keep track of your interests and preferences and recognize you as a return visitor.
