A stimulant laxative for the relief of occasional constipation.
DOSAGE: Tablets should take effect within 6 to 12 hours. ADULTS AND CHILDREN 12 YEARS AND OVER: Take 1 to 3 tablets at bedtime or before breakfast. CHILDREN 6 TO 12 YEARS: Take 1 tablet at bedtime or before breakfast. CHILDREN UNDER 6 YEARS: As directed by your physician.
MEDICINAL INGREDIENT: Each tablet contains: Bisacodyl USP 5mg.
NON-MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS (in alphabetical order): Acacia, anhydrous calcium sulfate, anhydrous lactose, carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, D&C red #27 aluminum lake, FD&C blue #2 aluminum lake, FD&C yellow #6 aluminum lake, gelatin, iron oxide, iron oxide black, iron oxide yellow, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol (Peg) 400, polyvinyl acetate phthalate, povidone, shellac, sodium starch glycoate, stearic acid, sugar, talc, titanium dioxide.
CAUTIONS: KEEP THIS AND ALL DRUGS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. Do not chew or crush tablets. Swallow tablets whole. Do not take this product with milk or within one hour of antacids. WARNINGS: Do not use in the presence of abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever or other symptoms of appendicitis. Prolonged or excessive use may cause dependence for bowel function. Do not use any type of laxative for more than one week unless directed by a physician. Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of laxative may indicate a serious condition. Discontinue use and consult your physician if these symptoms occur. As with any drug if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not take within 2 hours of other medicine as the effect of other medicine may be reduced. IN CASE OF OVERDOSE: seek professional assistance or contact poison control centre immediately. Store at room temperature (15°C - 30°C).
